Fuse Holders and Systems

Fuse Holders from Mersen comply with BS88-1 and BS88-6: 1988
The fuse holders are designed to prevent direct contact with live parts when being inserted or removed, preventing any likehood of inadvertent contact with live metal. Also, cable terminals within the fuse base are fully shrouded when holder is removed (product is IP2X Classified)

Modular fuse-holders are finger-safe under IEC standards to an IP20 grade of protection, including fuse changing (with the flick of a finger). Modular fuse-holders are available in 1, 2, 3 or 4 poles, with or without visual blown fuse indicator, in UL + IEC version.
Multi-pole units can also be field assembled by ordering pin-ties assembly kit. In this size, the range also offers the possibility to use microswitches (supplied with the holders or ordered separately) to allow remote indication.

NH GPV fuse-bases are available in 1000Vdc and 1500Vdc in sizes NH1, NH2 NH1XL and NH2XL-3L. Single phase type. Screw connection. Open designs and with touch safe protection for fuse links with plein blade contacts.

Vibration withstand:
These semiconductor AC/DC ferrule fuse holders are tested with sine vibrations carried out at ambient, scanning each of the 3 main axes.
Spectrom: 1st segment (2 to 16 Hz) constant displacement x = 5 mm peak.
2nd segment (16 to 250 Hz) constant acceleration γ = 5 g peak.
Exponential scanning speed: 1 octave per minute.
Duration: 2 hours per axis

Fuse bases for DIN high voltage fuse-links with diameter 45mm and lengths 192, 292, 367, 442 and 537mm.
The indicating device enables electrical actuating of the opening mechanism for a circuit or triggering of an indicator during the melting of a fuse equipped with a trip-indicator.
This very robust and original device means freedom for any mechanical system and offers the advantage of being able to incorporate a microswitch unit or units according to the equipment configuration.
