    The choice of a carbon brush is important to ensure a proper operation combining the best brush life with respect of the commutator or slip ring. Carbon brushes are maintained by brush-holders to be in permanent contact with the slip ring or the commutator. The function of a good brush is explained in more detail in our Technical Data Sheet reference TDS-01.
