    Mersen off-load disconnectors and inverters are designed to be very compact with a modular and flexible design to meet your electrical circuit configuration.

    They can be manually operated from outside the train with the use of a front panel or motorized inside a cubicle.

    They are designed to withstand up to 25.000 cycles (open-close) To guarantee this efficiency, Mersen is testing them internally and with external partners.

    Voltage range

    The range of Off-load disconnectors, Off-load inverters, Grounding is covering the voltage range of 85VDC, 750VDC, 1,500VDC, 3,000VDC and 25kVAC.

    Current range

    The range of Off-load disconnectors, Off-load inverters, Grounding is covering the current range up to 2000 Amp, for higher rating please ask.

    High short circuit withstand

    The range of Off-load disconnectors, Off-load inverters, Grounding are studied to withstand 30kAmp short circuit, for higher rating please ask.

    Number of poles and positions (modular conception)

    This range can offer up to 4 positions (Main Power , Isolate, Work shop, Earth,) and up to 6 poles which can offer different current ratings (for example 1 pole 1250A, 1 poles 800 Amp and 2 poles 250 Amp).

    Tumbler

    Some disconnectors can be equipped with a spring system named tumbler which have two functions. First function is the speed-up the operation of position change to avoid possible arcing and second is to finish the movement if the motor would miss infeed.

    Life time and number of cycles 

    These devices are very low maintenance and last the life time of the train. The first maintenance operation is given for 25.000 operations.

    Work shop plug

    These devices can be equipped with a work shop plug to infeed the auxiliaries circuits when the train is in the depot

    Tooling

    Beside the spare parts, Mersen can supply the necessary tooling to set perfectly your equipment to the technical requirements of your network and optimize their use.

    LCC ; RAMS; Type tests

    Mersen team provide type test and different studies (Life Cycle Cost, RAMS, FMEA, Eco Design and recyclability, etc…) to secure the reliability of your equipment and its conformity to standards and legislations.
